Full Job Description
Position Summary

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration / Data Manager supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Agile Weapons Division (AFLCMC/EBX).  This position supports program and financial managers with DoD planning, programming, and budgeting activities in support of the USAF weapons acquisition process. This position is located onsite at Eglin AFB, Florida.

 

Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide Configuration and CDRL Data Management
  • Coordinating with program management, systems engineers, and other stakeholders in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to maintain alignment between technical and contractual obligations
  • Deliver broad reach‑back support across functional disciplines for AFPEO/EB portfolio programs
  • Produce high‑volume program products quickly to meet short‑notice direction when internal resources are limited
  • Assist in creating briefings, and staffing materials
  • Maintain requirements traceability and generate reports/analyses to update CDDs and CPDs for senior decision makers
  • Enable rapid, integrated response to MAJCOM changes and inputs
  • Support government activities in acquisition program management, configuration management, enterprise integration, developmental planning, and draft contract source selection
  • Provide advisory support for rapid response/delivery, program communication and reporting, schedule execution, risk management, contract management, and technical data management

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
  • Clearance: Current Top Secret clearance
  • Education and experience: Associate’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing acquisition program support within DoD programs.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DoD 5000.2, and related regulations and guides

Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

 

Technical Skills

  • Configuration Management Tools – Proficiency with CM/DM systems for tracking specifications and changes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Ability to create and maintain tracking systems, generate reports, and analyze configuration data using tools like Excel or databases.
  • Technical Documentation – Skilled in preparing technical documents, specifications, and compliance reports in accordance with industry and government standards.
  • Software & Hardware Review – Understanding of system specifications, development standards, and configuration audits for hardware and software components.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Communication Skills – Ability to clearly convey technical and non-technical information to diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Works effectively with cross-functional teams, program offices, and government personnel to achieve shared objectives.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in documentation, tracking systems, and compliance reviews while maintaining clarity in complex processes.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability – Handles evolving requirements and resolves issues collaboratively, maintaining flexibility under changing priorities.
