CBM Engineer / Analyst | Performance and Reliability

The Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) Analyst supports the reliability and performance of our power generation fleet by implementing and managing predictive maintenance technologies. This role is responsible for collecting and analyzing equipment condition data, identifying emerging issues, and recommending maintenance actions to prevent failures and optimize asset performance. The CBM Analyst will also help support installation, configuration, and maintain our InsightCM online condition monitoring systems across multiple sites.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or reliability engineering (and/or equivalent technical experience for non-degreed)
  • Five or more years' experience in condition-based monitoring or predictive maintenance within the power generation or heavy industrial environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Execute CBM data collection and analysis using technologies including:
    • Vibration analysis
    • Infrared thermography
    • Oil and lubricant analysis
    • Motor current analysis
  • Perform detailed diagnostics and generate reports on equipment health, trends, and recommended actions
  • Travel extensively to power generation sites to perform data collection, inspections, and system maintenance. Travel up to 50%
  • Install, configure, and maintain InsightCM online condition monitoring hardware and software
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of collected condition monitoring data
  • Collaborate with plant operations and maintenance teams to plan corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain documentation for all monitoring activities, including system configurations, analysis results, and maintenance recommendations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce forced outages

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technology Development
  • Support the development and implementation of technology criteria that reflect our CBM strategy & objectives
  • Support the definition of success criteria and decision points into CBM programs
  • Develop appropriate visualizations and analytics around CBM data

Leadership
  • Effectively communicate and develop relationships with customers and plant management.
