Description

Your Day to Day

  • Coordinate concrete scope work for projects with project schedules and other work schedules, ensuring concrete projects do not conflict with project schedules and deadlines.
  • Call project teams when necessary to facilitate scheduling needs.
  • Help solve construction-related problems and provide support to concrete finishing and concrete forming crews as needed.
  • Manage the budgets of self-performed concrete jobs and projects.
  • Order materials and supplies for self-performed concrete work, ensuring projects have sufficient supplies for current and pending jobs.
  • Issue and create purchase orders and subcontracts for materials and labor supplied on the project.
  • Review drawings and specifications of concrete projects for accuracy and constructability, making corrections or suggestions for improvement as necessary.
  • Process change orders for concrete-related scopes on projects.
  • Compile project submittals, including shop drawings, material data, product data, samples and other project-related information for review as specified in the contract documents.
  • Complete monthly snapshot reports, accounting for current project status and completion timelines.
  • Submit requests for information on assigned projects.
  • Review timecards of craft workers assigned to their projects for accuracy.
  • Provide input on projects concerning quality, phasing, scheduling and the overall concrete scope of the self-perform concrete work.
  • Provide training to self-perform work site supervisors on computer skills and leadership skills.
  • Forecast accurately the material and manpower needs of projects and fulfill needs in a timely manner.
  • Analyze various work and determining quality and compliance with contract documents.
  • Analyze problems and resolve issues as necessary to quickly determine the best course of action.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

  • Demonstrating proven written and verbal communication abilities and proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite, Tekla, ViewPoint and BlueBeam.
  • Demonstrating the ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.


Education & Experience
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience in the construction and/or engineering industry with a similar high volume environment.
  • Four-year business or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction and/or engineering industry with a similar high volume environment
