Domaine d'expertise: Au sein de P&WC, le groupe de Conception Mécanique de Turbine est responsable de la conception de composantes de Turbine, ainsi que de produire des analyses structurelles préliminaires. Nos responsabilités s'étendent de la conception préliminaire jusqu'au support des moteurs en service.

Vous ferez partie d'une équipe de spécialistes en conception mécanique de turbines.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?
  • Produire des solutions de conception mécanique innovatrices pour les problèmes de moteurs à turbine à gaz (turboréacteur, turbopropulseur et turbomoteur), assurant le respect des coûts, du poids et des performances du Programme.
  • Diriger, coordonner et planifier des équipes de produits intégrés (IPT) couvrant toutes les activités de conception pendant la phase de conception détaillée.
  • Documenter les activités d'IPT dans un ensemble de travaux de conception qui comprend la production de plans d'ingénierie, de spécifications d'équipement, de notes techniques et de fabrication de soutien et de développement de moteur après la phase de conception détaillée.
  • Préparer de modèles CAD.
  • Résoudre des problèmes de conception mécanique sur des moteurs existants.
  • Concevoir des arrangements mécaniques pour de nouveaux moteurs.
  • Planifier et coordonner les activités de conception et d'analyse.
  • Assurer le leadership d'équipes multidisciplinaires durant la phase de conception.
  • Produire des documents d'ingénierie afin de communiquer les solutions aux problèmes de conception mécanique.


Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?
  • Avoir complété un Baccalauréat en Génie Mécanique ou Aéronautique avec un minimum de 4 ans d'expérience. Être membre de l'OIQ est recommandé.
  • Connaissances approfondies de la conception mécanique.
  • Connaissances générales des disciplines d'ingénierie (aérodynamique, transfert de chaleur, structures, dynamique)
  • Bonnes compétences en communication écrite et orale.
  • La connaissance des méthodes de fabrication et la maîtrise du logiciel CATIA serait un atout.
  • Ce poste s'inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une très bonne connaissance de l'anglais pour lire et comprendre, sur une base quotidienne, de la documentation et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d'organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Job Title: Mechanical Designer, Turbines

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Generate innovative mechanical design solutions for gas turbine engine (turbofan, turboprop, and turboshaft) problems, ensuring the program cost, weight, and performance requirements are met.
  • Lead, co-ordinate and schedule Integrated Product Teams (IPT) covering all design activities during the detail design phase.
  • Document the IPT's activities in a design job package that includes producing engineering layout drawings, equipment specifications, technical memos, and support manufacturing and engine development after the detail design phase.
  • Prepare CAD models.
  • Solve mechanical design problems on field engines.
  • Design mechanical architectures and cross-sections for new engines.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate design and analytical activities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams during the design phase.
  • Produce engineering documents to communicate solutions to mechanical design problems.


What do you need to be successful?
  • To have completed a Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Bachelor degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience. Member of OIQ is recommended.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design.
  • General knowledge of engineering disciplines (aerodynamics, heat transfer, structures, dynamics)
  • Strong communications skills, written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing methods and CATIA V5 would be a benefit
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
