Titre du poste: Concepteur mécanique

Au sein de P&WC, l'équipe d'ingénierie des installations d'essais est chargée de concevoir, construire et adapter les bancs d'essais pour tous les types de moteurs ainsi que leurs composants dans le but de répondre aux exigences rigoureuses de chaque essai moteur. Les équipements mis en service par notre équipe technique sont essentiels à la certification de nouveaux moteurs et à la validation de leur performance avant la livraison aux clients.

En tant que concepteur mécanique vous vous rapporterez au gestionnaire principal de l'équipe d'ingénierie des installations d'essais. Vous serez responsable de concevoir des équipements de test ainsi que différents systèmes nécessaires à l'opération des bancs d'essais.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?
  • Vous modéliserez des pièces, mécanismes et assemblages d'équipements d'essais;
  • Vous produirez les dessins de fabrication et d'assemblage;
  • Vous participerez aux revues de conception;
  • Vous aurez la responsabilité de définir la forme, la fonction et l'ajustement des pièces conçues;
  • Vous tiendrez compte des exigences en matière d'environnement, santé-sécurité;
  • Vous verrez à optimiser la productibilité et les coûts de fabrication;
  • Vous élaborerez des solutions alternatives aux problèmes rencontrés et fournirez des recommandations aux ingénieurs de projet;
  • Vous vous assurerez que les normes internes et les leçons apprises soient incorporées aux nouveaux projets.


Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?

Incontournables
  • DEC en Techniques de génie mécanique;
  • 15 à 20 ans d'expérience pertinente;
  • Maîtrise du logiciel Catia V5;
  • Bonne connaissance de la cotation fonctionnelle et du tolérancement géométrique;
  • Bonnes habiletés de communication en français et en anglais.

Atouts
  • Connaissance de l'environnement Enovia V6 / PLM;
  • Maîtrise de la Suite MS Office;
  • Posséder des notions sur les bancs d'essais de turbines à gaz.


Ce poste s'inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une connaissance fonctionnelle de l'anglais pour lire et comprendre des instructions spécialisées, des plans, des dessins et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d'organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et parfois communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Job title: Mechanical Designer

Within P&WC, the Test Facilities Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and adapting test cells for all engine families and their components to meet the demanding requirements of each engine test. Equipment commissioned by our technical crew is essential for engine certification and performance validation before delivery to customers.

As a mechanical designer, you will be reporting to the senior manager of the test facilities engineering team. You will be responsible for designing test equipment and various systems required for test cell operations.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • You will model parts, mechanisms, and assemblies of test equipment;
  • You will produce manufacturing and assembly drawings;
  • You will take part to design reviews;
  • You will be responsible for defining fit, form and function of designed parts;
  • You will consider requirements in terms of environment, health, and safety;
  • You will optimize producibility and manufacturing costs;
  • You will develop alternative solutions to problems and provide recommendations to project engineers;
  • You will ensure that internal standards and lessons learned are incorporated into new projects.


What do you need to be successful?

Must haves
  • College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology;
  • 15 to 20 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of Catia V5 software;
  • Good knowledge of functional dimensioning and geometric tolerancing;
  • Good communication skills - French and English.

Assets
  • Experience in Enovia V6 / PLM work environment;
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite;
  • Knowledge of gas turbine test cells.


Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
