COMSATCOM Network Engineer
The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enables the US Space Force to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) Office needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to advance the COMSATCOM mission by providing technical expertise to secure and support enhanced mobile satellite services. You'll coordinate with key stakeholders to support enterprise integration and efficiency of mobile satellite services. You'll develop and deliver high-quality written products and briefings to executive-level leadership to report programmatic milestones and recommend courses of action.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in the space domain or space communications systems or COMSTACOM mission area
  • Knowledge of COMSATCOM systems and techniques, including GEO, MEO. LEO, VSAT, and DVB-S2
  • Knowledge of COMSATCOM platforms, including SpaceX, Starlink, Starshield, Iridium, IntelSat, and AST Space
  • Knowledge of COMSATCOM services, including Voice, Data, Messaging, Broadcast, Push to Talk, and PNT
  • Ability to use MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks independently
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience coordinating with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the US government
  • Experience working in classified spaces to implement network solutions
  • Experience with DODIN and Commercial Network Interfaces
  • Ability to clearly communicate at the executive level with ease
  • TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
