Full Job Description
Sales and Service Manager

Compressor Energy Services (CES) - part of Fidelity Building Services Group | Northeast (MA / southern NH) | Full-time, exempt plus incentive

About the role

CES is building a service-first compressed air business in the Northeast, and this is the leader who runs it. You own the Northeast number - you carry the strategic and larger accounts yourself, open doors, and close alongside the team - and you direct the service operation and hold it to standard. It's a player-coach seat: you inherit an existing Northeast book and grow it while running the operation, shifting toward leading the team as it scales. A core objective is to grow the region to where new-business demand outgrows what one selling leader can cover, then hire and develop a dedicated rep - so part of the job is working yourself toward leading rather than carrying every deal.

What you'll do
  • Own the Northeast number - revenue, gross margin, and recurring (preventive-maintenance) growth.
  • Carry the strategic and larger accounts yourself; open doors and close alongside the team.
  • Grow CES's existing accounts - convert and deepen them into signed preventive-maintenance agreements.
  • Cross-sell with ESC - bring compressed air into ESC's customer base, and surface ESC's services to your own accounts.
  • Direct the service operation - set the standard, keep delivery on track, and hold quality and response where they need to be. You direct service; the team performs the technical work.
  • Lead and develop the team and grow the bench as the region scales.
  • Keep the playbook and standards tight so the same model can extend to other regions over time.

A core objective

Grow the existing Northeast book. The core objective is to grow it to the point where new-business demand outgrows what one selling leader can cover while also running the operation - and then recruit, hire, and develop a dedicated outside sales rep who can carry a full territory, shifting weight toward leading the team. The signal is real: qualified opportunities start to slip because there aren't enough selling hours. This is a measured objective for the role, not a someday idea.

The team behind you

You won't run service alone. A sales and service coordinator handles incoming calls, dispatch, and quoting; a lead technician and trainer anchors preventive-maintenance delivery, with field techs alongside and one on a path to service manager; and an applications and engineering team handles system sizing, audits, and utility and rebate programs. Your job is to lead and sell - the bench delivers the technical work.

What we're looking for
  • A branch or regional leader from compressor distribution, industrial or mechanical services, or HVAC service who has run both the selling and the operation.
  • A track record carrying a number while leading a team - a true player-coach.
  • Able to lead and grow a sales effort and direct a service operation; you don't need to be the technical expert - the team brings that.
  • Comfortable inheriting and growing an established book, and developing people as the region scales.
  • Willing to be in the territory with customers; valid driver's license.
  • Compressed air experience is a plus; we'll train the right leader on the technical side.

What we offer
  • Up to $100k + annually exempt based on experience, plus a 20% incentive paid quarterly on Northeast results.
  • Company vehicle.
  • A region to build and own, and a clear path to lead a growing team as it scales

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. Responsibilities may evolve, and other duties may be assigned as the business grows and the role develops.
