We are currently seeking a Component Purchasing Manager to join our Purchasing Team!
Key Responsibilities Include:- Develop and maintain strong relationship to ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and exceptional service levels.
- Analyze market trends, industry dynamics and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risk.
- Oversee inventory levels of finished goods and components at both internal facilities and contract manufacturing locations, working closely with Operations and Logistics teams to optimize inventory management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Graphics, Operations and other departments to align purchasing activities with organizational objectives and product requirements.
- Source and procure packaging materials, including labels, shrink sleeves, pouches, cartons and sample pack components.
- Create, issue and manage purchase orders while proactively monitoring order status and ensuring on-time supplier deliveries.
- Issue and analyze RFQs to ensure products meet specifications while achieving the most competitive pricing.
- Track, document and report purchasing cost reductions, process efficiencies and annualized savings achieved through strategic sourcing efforts.
- Enter and maintain accurate component specifications in SAP.
Qualifications:- College degree preferred
- 5+ years of purchasing experience required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of SAP required
- Attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Print experience a plus
