Job Title: Component Cleaning and Refurbishment EngineerLocation: Kennedy Space Center
SUMMARY: Noetic Strategies is seeking an accomplished Cleaning and Refurbishment Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-sufficient hands-on engineer with a background in precision cleaning of flight and ground support equipment. Knowledge and skills in precision cleaning of fluid systems or components and demonstrated strength in leadership and management of test tasks and test teams is required.
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:- Experience in precision cleaning of fluid systems or components.
- Extensive knowledge in mechanical and electro-mechanical fluid component assembly and disassembly; pneumatic, hydrostatic, hydraulic, cryogenic and electrical testing of components.
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills required.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions
- Experienced in collecting monthly department metrics and evaluating key performance indicators
- Dedication to departmental continuous improvement
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects without missing deadlines or sacrificing accuracy.
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
- 2 years of related experience for Engineering II; 5 year experience for Engineering III
DESIRED SKILLS:- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or other technical discipline.
PRIMARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provides engineering support to the Component Cleaning & Refurbishment Team in the performance of precision cleaning of flight and ground support equipment at the Kennedy Space Center. Reviews and approves detailed plans that direct cleaning activities. Maintains a safety working environment. Acts as the technical interface between government and non-government customers. Supports development of test plans and analysis, schedules, price estimates, budgets, and reports. Monitors technical performance and ensures the team meets quality and schedule requirements.
