This role is responsible for conducting device inventory audits, coordinating secure destruction operations and collection events, and managing vendor relationships, with a primary operational focus on Northern US. The successful candidate will operate independently, manage competing priorities across multiple sites and programmes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
This role is based in Seattle, with support for business activities across the wider AMER region. This position will report to the Compliance Manager (SCIPS).
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an audit plan for device storage locations and destruction facilities in Northern US.
- Ensure audits and inspections are carried out in accordance with Amazon policies and procedures, with on-time and high-quality deliverables.
- Provide operational data metrics to the Compliance Manager (SCIPS) on a weekly basis, updating the destruction dashboard, project tracker, and budget tracker accordingly.
- Support the day-to-day operation and administration of secure logistics, particularly the physical security of prototype devices and materials pending destruction.
- Coordinate secure shipping and receiving with multiple vendors, ensuring correct labeling, handling, tracking, and packaging standards are maintained.
- Plan, coordinate, and provide operational support for prototype device collections in locations remote from the Prototype Security regional hub, liaising with key contacts from devices teams to advise and support as necessary.
- Conduct RFID/barcode scanning and Device Serial Number (DSN) reconciliation for prototype devices to ensure accurate inventory management before, during, and after destruction operations.
- Ensure contractual deliverables are met by third-party destruction and guard force vendors.
- Act as an ambassador for prototype device destruction and device tracking compliance in AMER, advising peers and customers with regards to policy, guidelines, and SOP.
- Generate and issue audit reports and findings of irregularities, discrepancies, and deviations from prescribed procedures.
- Proactively identify process gaps, propose improvements, and actively participate in team discussions.
- Support efforts for prototype security awareness and training.
- Perform other related duties as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (especially Excel)
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Can commute to the specified work site
- 3+ years of supply chain security, including management of third-party logistics providers, law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management, investigations or similar field experience
- Domestic and international travel will be required (~25% of time).
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for several hours a day and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in consumer electronics or technology sector
- TAPA, ASIS, CFE, Security+, CISSP or other professional security organization qualification or memberships.
