Compliance Officer

Department: Quality Assurance Job Status: Full-Time Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Rate of Pay: $135,000.00 - $142,000.00 Annually Position Type: Full-Time Status: Accepting Applications Details: Preferred location of applicants: In or around Sacramento, Chico, Redding, Santa Rosa, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Modesto, Madera, Merced, Los Angeles, Oxnard, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and San Diego.

Position Description

Join our team as a Compliance Officer and help ensure our programs, policies, and operations meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, accreditation, and ethical practice. In this role, you'll serve as the facility's subject matter expert on compliance, partnering with leadership and staff to monitor performance, support audits and surveys, and drive continuous improvement across all departments.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the facility's Compliance Program
  • Evaluate functional areas to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct audits and operational reviews, documenting findings and recommending improvements
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including CMS, The Joint Commission (TJC), HIPAA, ADA, and contractual requirements
  • Coordinate regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation activities, including preparation and follow-up
  • Develop and submit corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution of compliance issues
  • Provide compliance training and guidance to staff, leadership, and committees
  • Monitor and maintain the Policy & Procedures system, ensuring policies are current, accessible, and understood
  • Track, analyze, and report compliance trends and key findings to leadership
  • Chair and support the facility's Compliance Program and Quality Assurance efforts

What We're Looking For

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, human services, management, or related field (required)
  • Master's degree (preferred)

Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in compliance, regulatory, or performance improvement (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) (preferred)
