Job DescriptionJob Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for providing strategic oversight and leadership of compliance activities by ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures as well as tribal, state, and federal regulations pertaining to Health Services and collaborating with departments to maintain a culture of compliance within Health Services. You will report directly to the Compliance and Ethics Officer HS.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm | Hybrid Schedule of 20% On-Site and 80% RemoteSalary Range: $81,293-$104,000Primary Tasks:- Lead Health Services wide compliance monitoring and risk identification activities by analyzing Health Services processes, audit results, and regulatory requirements to detect trends, gaps, and emerging compliance risks across departments.
- You will direct and execute complex compliance investigations and reviews by managing 20-30 annual Compliance Work Plan focus areas, inquiries, and events across Health Services to ensure resolution and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and deliver detailed compliance reporting by producing monthly and quarterly reports that include actionable recommendations to reduce noncompliance and organizational liability.
- You will evaluate and strengthen the Health Services Compliance Program by assessing program effectiveness against regulatory standards, identifying deficiencies, and implementing improvements that enhance detection, prevention, and correction of noncompliance.
- Conduct risk assessments by reviewing new and existing business activities, initiatives, and operational changes to identify vulnerabilities and ensure appropriate internal control are established.
- You will design and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controls by drafting, revising, and implementing compliance related documentation that aligns with tribal, state, and federal regulations and reduces exposure to risk.
- Advise leadership and cross-functional partners by presenting compliance findings, recommending corrective actions, and driving accountability for resolution of identified issues.
- Maintain secure and compliant documentation by ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of records related to investigations, audits, and compliance activities in accordance with privacy and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, law, or a related field or 10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives or investigations.
- Willingness to obtain applicable certifications (e.g. CHC) within one [1] year of employment.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state and tribal laws and regulations impacting healthcare compliance.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into operational practice and controls.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement, influence decision-making, and handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Six [6] years of healthcare compliance experience, including investigations and conflict resolution;
