Job Summary:
As a Compliance Business Analyst, you will play an integral role in driving compliance and operational excellence at Safran Cabin. In this position, you will analyze and interpret complex data, generate actionable insights, and recommend solutions that optimize key business processes. Summary of Duties:
• Advanced Data Analysis: Analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, detect anomalies, and develop actionable recommendations that support compliance and financial objectives.
• Strategic Reporting & Insight Development: Design, build, and enhance dynamic dashboards and analytical reports (using tools such as Power BI and Excel) to enable real-time business intelligence for stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations to compliance leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
• Process Optimization & Project Leadership: Initiate and lead process improvement projects to streamline compliance, reconciliation, and financial reporting procedures. Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize workflows and implement best practices that drive operational efficiency and ensure data integrity.
• Business Impact: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, minimize compliance risks, and reduce operational costs through innovative use of data and analytics. Communicate complex results to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing business strategy and outcomes.
• Collaboration & Change Management: Collaborate with compliance, finance, and other functional teams to align data strategies, inform business requirements, and support organizational change efforts related to compliance and analytics.
• Continuous Improvement: Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for customs reconciliation and compliance analytics. Lead the creation and implementation of controls and metrics to ensure ongoing accuracy, standardization, and regulatory adherence.
Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience (1+ years of analysis experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to independently extract, manipulate, and analyze data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations. Track record of identifying root causes, solving complex problems, and contributing to efficiency improvements.
Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
Foundational knowledge of SQL for database querying. Basic familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience presenting complex findings and actionable solutions to varied audiences using data visualization tools. Intermediate level of Microsoft PowerPoint applications
Other Skills: Strong analytical mindset-able to independently spot patterns, identify data discrepancies, and develop solutions. Strong project management skills; ability to lead or contribute to strategic initiatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to present complex data findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills: Experience in developing and auditing customs reconciliation programs. Understanding of programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
