The North America Region PMO Order Management for Complex Projects plays a crucial role in supporting the Major Service Projects team by overseeing the complete order implementation process. This includes managing all aspects from order entry to customer invoicing, ensuring that each project runs smoothly and efficiently. The team is responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate timely execution and delivery of services, while also maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. By streamlining order management processes, the team helps to optimize resource allocation and enhance overall project performance. This position is essential for driving operational excellence and ensuring that customer expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Serve as the primary internal and external customer interface, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements and expectations throughout the order management process.
  • Manage complex project orders by collaborating with various back office functions, including supply management, project management, engineering, marketing, and the FAST warehouse, to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
  • Support North America customers, as well as others, in the planning, execution, coordination, and implementation of complex projects and repair orders, ensuring that all customer needs are met effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong networking channels with key stakeholders, including Program Management, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Management, factories, Sales, Export Control Compliance, Contracts, and Freight Forwarders, to facilitate project success and meet customer requirements.
  • Take full ownership of the order execution process for complex projects, managing all aspects from order entry to invoicing within SAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at each stage.
  • Continuously monitor project progress and performance metrics, proactively addressing any issues or challenges that arise to maintain project timelines and customer satisfaction.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 5 to 10 years of customer service experience in power generation services.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP and prior experience with the SAP Sales & Distribution Module is required, along with a solid understanding of the order-to-cash concept.
  • Familiarity with business, financial, and operational processes within the GS organization, as well as knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and other technical product documents, with a general understanding of Gas Turbine, Generator, and Steam Turbine parts and materials.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, demonstrating a self-starter attitude and an ownership mentality to ensure customer and team success.
  • Detail-oriented with prior project management skills, moderate experience with Microsoft Excel, and the ability to multitask effectively.
