Completions Technical Specialist II in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

DUTIES: Be responsible for the coordination of Continued Operational Safety (COS) and airworthiness non-compliance Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs) in cooperation with multiple engineering disciplines and the Gulfstream Compliance Assurance Office (CAO). Perform RCCA activity centered around Entry-into-Service (EIS) items reported from the fleet. Engage in key technical issues and engineering process development for new/existing aircraft programs and R&D projects. Participate in customer forums, events, and management of associated action items. Guide successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of company products and services. Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues. Be consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field. Anticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. Approach problem solving by balancing technical product, cost, and schedule. Work without appreciable direction, having work reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results. Exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments. Make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Maintain a current knowledge of developments in field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain a current knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 certification requirements for aircraft interiors. Maintain a current knowledge of the methodologies/processes for Continued Operational Safety (COS) and Airworthiness Standard Non-Compliance (AWSNC) reporting and status updating to FAA.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Airworthiness Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related engineering field required. Ten years of experience in the job offered or a related engineering position in the aerospace industry required, including any experience with: communicating in a technical and operations environment; 14 CFR Part 25 certification requirements for aircraft interiors; and with the methodologies/processes utilized for Continued Operational Safety (COS) and Airworthiness Standard Non-Compliance (AWSNC) reporting and status updating to the Federal Aviation Administration. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Airworthiness Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related engineering field and ten years of experience, Employer will accept a Master's degree in Airworthiness Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related engineering field and eight years of the above-listed experience or a Ph.D. in Airworthiness Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related engineering field and six years of the above-listed experience. Must have legal authority to work in the U.S.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
