Full Job Description
SUMMARY

The Completions Project Engineer will lead turnkey wellsite execution - from schematic design and SOP development to field oversight and safety assurance. This position will work in the field, understand the realities of completions logistics, manage complex projects across multiple basins, and will require travel for field work to support operations as needed. The Completions Project Engineer will be the technical lead for all completions related jobs, ensuring every detail is engineered for safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Design & Planning
    • Develop detailed schematics, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), and job packages for turnkey completions and re-stim operations.
    • Translate customer objectives into executable field plans - including equipment layout, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
    • Coordinate with internal engineering, supply chain, and field teams to align on job scope, materials, and timelines.

Field Execution & Oversight
    • Serve as the on-site technical lead during job execution by ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and customer expectations.
    • Oversee 3rd-part service providers, chemical vendors, and pumping crews to ensure seamless operations.
    • Troubleshoot issues in real time, adjusting plans as needed to maintain safety and performance.

Project Management
    • Manage multiple active jobs across regions, maintaining schedules, budgets, and documentation.
    • Lead pre-job planning meetings and post-job reviews with internal teams and customers.
    • Track KPIs (Key Performance Indicator), cost performance, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.

Customer Interface
    • Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned turnkey projects.
    • Participate in customer planning sessions, audits, and performance reviews.
    • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to improve job design and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Experience
    • 5+ years of completions experience, preferable with an operator or in a lead field engineering role..
    • Experience developing SOPs, schematics, and job documentation.

Skills & Competencies
    • Proven track record managing completions projects.
    • Strong understanding of frac operations, equipment layout, and field safety protocols.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to coordinate across field, engineering, and customer teams.

Other Requirements
    • Willingness to travel to field locations as needed (up to 25%).
    • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy.
