StraCon Services Group is seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to lead the development, evaluation, and administration of compensation programs that ensure competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with organizational strategy. This role plays a key part in salary negotiations, partnering closely with recruiting teams, HR leadership, and hiring managers to ensure informed, equitable, and compliant compensation decisions. The position also includes essential benefits responsibilities focused on plan optimization, employee communication, and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead salary negotiations and advise recruiting teams and hiring managers on compensation decisions.
- Conduct market pricing, salary surveys, and compensation modeling to assess and maintain competitiveness.
- Build compensation models to project merit increases, bonuses, and workforce cost impacts.
- Provide compensation recommendations for offers, promotions, reassignments, and internal moves.
- Deliver compensation analytics, dashboards, and data-driven presentations for leadership.
- Maintain compensation governance resources including guides, frameworks, and negotiation tools.
- Review internal equity and pay discrepancies; recommend corrective measures.
- Support HRIS reporting needs for compensation and benefits analytics.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation-related regulations and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with HR, recruiting, and executive leadership to ensure alignment on compensation strategy.
Education & Experience Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, CCP, CBP, or CEBS certifications strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation analysis, salary-setting, talent management, or related HR specialty.
- Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or working within government contracting environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead salary negotiations and advise executives and hiring managers.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills with advanced Excel or data visualization proficiency.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold equitable compensation practices.
