Position Summary

This role serves as a primary local point of contactfor TNDC employees and community members in Dease Lake. The Community BusinessServices Coordinator provides directions on administrative matters, includingforms, payroll and expense inquiries, benefits, HR processes, and employee support,ensuring questions are documented, routed to the appropriate department, orOperations team member, and followed up in a timely and respectful manner.The role also supports two-way communication between TNDC and the community bygathering feedback, identifying concerns, preparing engagement reports, andhelping ensure TNDC operations align with Tahltan protocols. In addition, the coordinatorsupports cultural awareness and community engagement activities; liaises withElders, community leaders, and cultural advisors; supports local hiring,training, and community investment initiatives; assists with board meetingcoordination as an extension of the CEO's Executive Assistant; and provides supportto the TNDC Board Chair as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serveas a local point of contact for TNDC employees in the community, helping directquestions related to Finance, payroll, benefits, HR processes, forms, andemployee supports to the appropriate TNDC team member
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, local groups, and stakeholders
  • Support TNDC Communications Team, coordinating TNDC functions, activities and other in the territory
  • Prepare reports documenting community interactions, concerns, and engagement efforts
  • Gather community feedback, concerns, and questions and relay them to management
  • Promote positive relationships and trust between the organization and community
  • Coordinate cultural awareness and community engagement events
  • Liaise with Elders, community leaders, and cultural advisors as needed
  • Coordinate board meetings and act as an extension of the CEO's Executive Assistant
  • Support local hiring, training, and community investment initiatives
  • Support the TNDC Board Chair as required
  • Supportemployees with navigating basic administrative questions, including where toaccess forms, who to contact for payroll or expense inquiries, and how tofollow up on HR-related matters


Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or coordination roles
  • Strong understanding of Tahltan culture and values (Tahltan applicants)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office


Working Conditions
  • Based in Dease Lake
  • Occasional travel to TNDC sites or community events
  • Standard office hours with flexibility during peak operational periods

Provide guidance, training, andmentorship to team members, especially local Tahltan workers, by sharingtechnical skills, safety practices, and industry knowledge in a respectful andculturally aware manner. Support thegrowth of the Tahltan workforce by helping build capacity, promoting safe andeffective work practices, and ensuring that knowledge is passed on tostrengthen both the team and the broader Tahltan community for the benefit ofcurrent and future generation.

Conditions of Employment

• Valid class 5 driver's license and willing toprovide a current driver abstract
• Willingness to work occasional overtime during peakor critical work periods
