Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the position of Community Program Manager. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess five (5) years of responsible management level experience leading, directing, and managing employees in municipal or private sector operations including at least three (3) years of experience in the field of humane animal care and control related duties, three (3) years of supervisory experience; and possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business management, zoology, animal science or a related field. A Registered Veterinary License is preferred.
License/Certificate:
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid class "C" California driver's license.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, State of California euthanization certificate within one (1) year of appointment.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, California Penal Code 832 certification may be required of position.

Standard Employment Benefits:
