Community Planning & Building Director - Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
The City Administrator is seeking a hands-on, results-oriented leader to serve as the Community Planning & Building Director. This at-will position requires a Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, or a related field (Master's degree highly desirable) and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including at least five years of supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of California land use planning, CEQA, historic preservation, and coastal planning is preferred.

The annual salary for this position is $197,418 - $239,963, with an excellent benefits package, including CalPERS retirement, 85% employer-paid medical premiums, fully paid dental and vision for employee and dependents, deferred compensation contributions, wellness reimbursement, and generous leave benefits.
