Job Description: Community Planner

Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking a Community Planner to provide supportive services for our government client. This position is hybrid.

The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:
  • Provide expertise and support in one or multiple of the following programs:
    • Climate Resiliency
    • Geospatial Analyst
    • Training
    • Installation Planning
    • Transportation Planning
    • Comprehensive Planning Platform
  • Synthesize complex technical information from various sources and transform it into clear, structured content for reports, presentations, and briefings.
  • Edit and proofread technical documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity, ensuring compliance with formatting and style guidelines.
  • Assist in developing templates and standardized formats for technical documentation to streamline future project workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Draft reports detailing Transportation Network Plans and other component plans for conformance with applicable DoD planning guidance.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders about new and existing processes, procedures, and associated work products in support of installation and regional development planning programs, comprehensive planning, and other strategic planning initiatives supporting enterprise planning.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Able to pass a Tier (T1) clearance/background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields such as Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Geophysics, Political Science, etc.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in technical writing, including the ability to clearly communicate complex planning concepts, procedures, and data for a variety of stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in preparing, editing, and formatting detailed planning reports, policy documents, and technical presentations in compliance with the clients' regulatory standards.
  • 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Urban planning
  • Installation planning
  • Geospatial analysis
  • Environmental/climate resiliency
  • Civil engineering
  • GIS (Geographic Information Systems)

Primary work location: San Antonio, TX

Travel Expectations: Travel is required for this position.

Position Type: Hybrid Work Schedule, Salaried position.
