Community Manager - Affordable Housing

Are you a passionate property management professional looking to make a difference in affordable housing? We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a well-established affordable housing community in the Prince George County, MD area.

 

Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of community operations, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance, and compliance.

- Manage affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, and/or other subsidized housing programs.- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local housing regulations.- Monitor occupancy, collections, delinquency, and budget performance.- Lead, develop, and motivate onsite team members.- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and prospects.- Maintain accurate records, reports, and resident files. Qualifications

Position Requirements:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry.

- Affordable Housing experience required, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit).- Previous Community Manager experience preferred.- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company vehicle and/or golf cart.- Experience with property management software such as RealPage, OneSite, and/or Yardi, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other current technologies.- Strong understanding of financial reporting, including Profit & Loss Statements, General Ledgers, budgets, and variance reporting.- Experience managing rent collections, delinquency, and occupancy goals.- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations and company policies.

Monday - Friday/Some weekend but not every weekend
