Full Job Description
Title: Community Health & Home Care Nurse
Salary: $94,724 - $114,261 per year (pay range explained below)*
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday - Friday (core hours: 9am - 3pm)
Location: Gilford, Vancouver Island
Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About the role
As the Community Health & Home Care Nurse, you will - Provide a comprehensive range of core community and home care nursing functions and services in First Nation communities including individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. Promote the maintenance of health and quality of life by emphasizing principles of primary and public health care, focusing on promoting health, preventing disease and injury, protecting population health, and focusing on providing curative, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be -
  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of BC Nursing Professionals (BCCNM)
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a Canadian University or recognized equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support, Level "C" certificate.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and own vehicle.

Experience
  • 1-2 years recent experience in public health and home care nursing.
  • First Nations experience preferred.
