This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.Job Description:We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Cardiologist to join our medical team in Calgary. This is a sponsored position, and we welcome candidates who require CPSA (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta) registration. The selected candidate will provide high-quality cardiovascular care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of heart-related conditions.
The role includes working in an outpatient clinical setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs, CESTs, Holters and echocardiograms.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists to ensure comprehensive cardiac care.
• Provide education and preventive care advice to patients to reduce cardiovascular risks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects, if applicable.
• Comply with local medical regulations and work towards obtaining CPSA registration and licensing in Alberta.
Qualifications:- Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
- Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency of Canada, or a valid work permit.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Completed residency training in Cardiology.Proven leadership, collaboration, and community engagement skills.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Certification in Cardiology.
- Global experience with a proven record of excellence in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Cardiology.
- Teaching experience in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
- Active involvement in research or publications in international journals.
- Any Clinical Fellowship training in Cardiology specially in Electrophysiology/Echocardiography.
