Communications Sr. Manager

What You Will Be Doing
The Senior Manager F-35 Communications oversees all F-35 communications activities to deliver consistent, compelling and coordinated messages to global F-35 stakeholders.
The senior manager is responsible for setting the overall F-35 Communications strategy and developing and maintaining overall F-35 program messaging. The senior manager will lead a team of communicators, providing mentoring and coaching, assigning appropriate work assignments and executing the program communications strategy.
Specific responsibilities include: Manage development, execution and maintenance of master F-35 message and content packages. Build and maintain strong relationships with the Joint Program Office, USAF, USN and USMC public affairs officers, along with F-35 partner communication colleagues.
Develop integrated content management strategy, managing F-35 communications channels and integrating F-35 messages across internal and external corporate channels. Manages the development, planning, and conduct of public relations and goodwill programs to improve and support company business objectives with the public, industry, stockholders, and/or employees. Oversees the planning, preparation, writing and dissemination of information utilizing print and broadcast media; magazines, speeches, scripts, intranet and Internet website.
Monitors the submittal of photographs; assigns and/or approves artwork. Ensures representation of the company at press conferences, briefings and presentations on company issues. Directs the participation and support of advertising campaigns, and/or edit material for organization publications. May supervise work of outside consultants.
Lead crisis and issues management for the F-35 program coordinating as appropriate with the Corporate Communications, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs and broader Aeronautics communications team. Manages domestic media relations by building trusted relationships with key reporters and leading the planning, executive preparation and execution of F-35 media engagements.
Provide strategic direction for marketing and digital media assets for use on Lockheed Martin and F-35 channels. Lead executive communications support to promote F-35 VP&GM internal and external presence, including the weekly newsletter.
Partner with peers to ensure consistency in global F-35 messages to maximize impact with appropriate tailoring for specific audiences.
Critical thinker and data driven in decision making process.
Generalist across all communications disciplines. Previous strategic communications leadership experience managing multiple projects.

Basic Qualifications
12+ years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline; or an Associate degree/training certificate with 4+ years of professional communications experience.
Leadership experience
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $143,600 - $248,975. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
