Role Overview

HP Corvallis is seeking a highly collaborative and execution-driven leader to manage sitewide communications, employee forums, training programs, and onboarding experience.

This role establishes a single point of ownership for how the site:
  • Communicate with employees
  • Delivers employee forums (Town Halls, Coffee Talks, AEMs)
  • Develops and onboard the workforce


The position partners closely with the Site Program Lead, Site Council Lead, L&D, and Recruiting to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of communications, employee forums, and workforce programs aligned to site and enterprise priorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sitewide Communications Leadership

  • Own and manage the site communications strategy, calendar, and governance model
  • Develop and deliver:
    • Sitewide emails, announcements, and newsletters
    • Weekly and monthly communication cadence
    • Leadership communications (town halls, Manager Exchange messaging)
  • Manage communication channels, including:
    • Microsoft Teams channels
    • SharePoint / site communication hubs
    • Digital signage (e.g., Priscilla, desktop messaging)
  • Serve as central intake for communications; managing workflows, approvals, and prioritization
  • Partner with CREWS, EHS, HR, and leadership to ensure aligned, accurate messaging
  • Utilize tools such as Smartsheet and Forms to manage requests and processes


2. Employee Engagement & Leadership Forums

  • Partner with Site Council Lead and site organization leadership to plan and deliver:
    • Sitewide town halls
    • Coffee talks and leadership forums
    • Manager Exchange sessions
  • Lead end-to-end execution of employee forums, including:
    • Agenda development and content coordination
    • Speaker preparation and alignment
    • Room and A/V logistics
    • Run-of-show planning and facilitation support
    • Enable employee engagement (Q&A intake, follow-up communications)
  • Support corporate All-Employee Meetings (AEMs) hosted or broadcast at the Corvallis site:
    • Deliver on-site execution for in-person events
    • Organize and manage watch party experiences for virtual events
    • Ensure consistent, high-quality employee experience across all formats
  • Partner with leadership and communications stakeholders to:

    • Enable employee engagement (Q&A intake, follow-up communications)


3. Training, Onboarding & Workforce Development

  • Own and manage the sitewide training and development program
  • Develop and maintain role-based learning plans across site functions
  • Support and scale sitewide certification programs in partnership with engineering, operations, and SMEs
  • Build and manage a sitewide training calendar and delivery cadence
  • Ensure training and certification tracking in enterprise systems (e.g., SABA)
  • Monitor and report on training effectiveness and participation

Onboarding & New Employee Experience

  • Serve as site liaison to corporate onboarding programs, ensuring alignment between enterprise onboarding and Corvallis site experience
  • Lead and continuously improve the on-site New Employee Orientation (NEO) program, including:
    • Agenda design and content development
    • Coordination with speakers and functional partners
    • Delivery of a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience
  • Partner with Recruiting and HR to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to fully onboard employee, including:
    • Alignment of recruiting messaging with site communications
    • Coordination of onboarding touchpoints and employee experience

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, program management, learning & development, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs and stakeholders

  • Experience in corporate/internal communications, onboarding, or training program leadership
  • Experience supporting employee experience or site engagement initiatives
  • Familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Forms, and LMS platforms (e.g., SABA)

This role is intended to operate at least a specialist level Individual Contributor level, with responsibility for:
  • End-to-end ownership of communications, engagement forums, onboarding, and training programs
  • Cross-functional influence without direct authority
  • Independent execution with strong partnership to site leadership

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in communications, research and analysis, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
