Job Title: Communications Planner - SME

Responsibilities:

•Develop, Refine, and improve Army Component Support Plans (ACSP) to Geographic Combatant

Command (GCC) Contingency Plans (CONPLANS), Operations Order (OPORD), communication

annexes, and appendixes.

•Establish coordination and liaison relationships with DoD organizations and host nations, as

required.

•Plan and Support Multi-National Security Force Assistance (SFA) and Theater Security Cooperation

(TSC) events.

•Develop Army Component Campaign Objectives for Command, Control, Communications,

Computers, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I) efforts.

•Understand Operational and Tactical network, radio, satellite, COMSEC, and network security

planning and concepts.

•Support four (4) to eight (8) short-term deployments to Africa per year.

•Determine project objectives, organize and catalog required resources and ensure smooth pace

and on time delivery of assigned projects.

•Identify and Gather requirements into cohesive Course of Actions (CoA) documents for decision

makers.

•Create documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows, and user guides.

•Coordinate and identify resources required for task execution and completion.

•Serve as a technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes,

and identifies areas for further investigation.

•Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present

products and ideas in a business-like manner.

•Demonstrate ability to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction,

coordination of efforts, & adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.

•Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

•Must hold an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility to qualify.

•BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or a major cert + 9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.

•Minimum 3+ years’ experience operating & supporting DoD Networks (LAN/WAN/SATCOM/etc.)

•Experience in Army Brigade, Division, Corps, Field or Theater Army S3/G3 or S6/G6; Air Force

Numbered Air Force A3 or A6 staff; Navy Expeditionary Communications Detachment; Marine Corps

SPMAGTF, MEU/MEF S3/G3 or S6/G6.

•Expertise in the Military Joint Planning Process (JPP), including the ability to integrate operational design, mission analysis, and course of action development to support joint and multinational operations.

•Comprehensive understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).

•Deep understanding of Maven Smart Systems (MSS) AI and other tools (GAIA, Sheets, GOTHAM etc.)

•DoD IAT Level II/DoDD 8140.01P certification (Security +CE or higher).

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

•Must pass Italian TESA.

Desired:

•Joint Planner Course, Command and General Staff College (CGSC), Battle Staff NCO, or other US

military planning course graduate.

•DoD Spectrum Management certified (Army Spectrum Management Course (SMC) or Intra-service

Radio Frequency Management (IRFM) Course graduate).

• DoD Wideband/Narrowband Satellite Planning Experience (UHF/SHF/EHF).
