The
Communications & Organizational Enablement Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution and continuous improvement of internal communications, engagement initiatives, and organizational enablement activities across a broad and often cross-functional scope. You will own key communication channels, campaigns, and selected processes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and measurable impact across outputs.
In this role, you will operate with a higher degree of autonomy and influence. You will go beyond execution to shape communication strategies within scope, drive alignment across initiatives, and elevate the quality and effectiveness of communications delivery. This includes leading complex campaigns and events, refining communication practices, and optimizing digital platforms to enhance user experience and engagement.
You will partner with senior stakeholders to define messaging, challenge and refine communication approaches, and ensure alignment with broader organizational priorities. You will proactively manage priorities across multiple workstreams, align activities through the operational calendar, and leverage insights and metrics to continuously improve outcomes.
Operating in a global environment, you will act as a trusted partner within your scope, identifying opportunities to standardize, scale, and enhance communications and organizational enablement efforts.
You will report to the IT Communications & Organizational Enablement Associate Manager and work a hybrid schedule at our Pittsburgh Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities- Own and continuously improve key communication channels (Digital IT Hub, newsletters, announcements), ensuring consistency, usability, and reach
- Lead the design and execution of complex communication campaigns across multiple initiatives
- Create and elevate communication assets (presentations, articles, visual content) with strong storytelling and audience alignment
- Lead planning and communications for leadership events (offsites, summits, visits), ensuring alignment and high-quality delivery
- Own and optimize the communications operational calendar, driving prioritization and alignment across stakeholders
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define messaging, refine communication approaches, and align with strategic priorities
- Drive adoption and improvements of communication tools and platforms (SharePoint, intranet, Microsoft 365 ecosystem)
- Analyze engagement data and campaign performance to inform decisions and improve effectiveness
- Identify and implement best practices, standardization, and process improvements across communications activities
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to Analysts and Specialist I roles
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, IT or other relevant fields.
- 6+ years of experience in internal communications, content creation, graphic design, change management or digital platforms.
- Experience in cross-functional areas or participation of cross-functional IT initiatives is a strong asset.
- Event planning experience is an asset.
