Reports To: Chief Enterprise and Communications Officer

Salary Range: $120,000- $135,000

The Opportunity:

The Community Catalyst Communications Director will report to the Chief Enterprise Communications Officer, responsible for raising national awareness and accelerating the organization's brand visibility and reputation. This position will specifically focus on revamping and managing the website, launching national visibility campaigns, and creating compelling graphics and visuals for all stakeholders. Future growth and expansion of duties expected. Key Responsibilities:
  • Redesign and manage the website to maximize impact, key stakeholder engagement and national awareness building, increasing web traffic and overall impressions. Employ creative ideas like national storytelling map, live feeds, etc.
  • Serve as organizational lead for graphic design and visual impact, ensuring creative, compelling visuals and content in all areas, whether creating it directly, supervising the work, or advising other staff and teams on proven, best-in-class practices.
  • Concept, write and support thought leadership and national, multichannel visibility campaigns, raising the profile of Community Catalyst; including paid, earned, shared and owned channels.
  • Leveraging data and analytics to measure and continually innovate, sharing performance metrics and suggestions to improve with the entire team.
  • Possible future supervisory responsibilities


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 10-15+ years communications experience, ideally with a health focus (for-profit or nonprofit)
  • Broad communications experience including managing national, multi-channel visibility campaigns (paid advertising, web, print, digital, social media, email, etc.)
  • Web development and design expertise, plus website management and maintenance capabilities; strong usage of Word Press and ensuring mobile responsiveness
  • Senior graphic design knowledge, including Canva and Adobe, creating compelling visuals and content, including infographics, data visualizations and marketing materials for all channels (web, digital, social, email, print, etc.)
  • Experience writing and messaging to diverse stakeholders, including funders and donors, advocates, board members, the general public, media outlets, staff, and more
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics plus commitment to SEO, AEO, GEO and LLMO to ensure the organization is leveraging new technologies, AI, and digital tools
  • Creative problem-solver with a focus on results, data and analytics
  • Responsive, efficient and dependable


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a remote, office-based position performed from a home or remote workspace using standard office equipment and technology. Occasional travel may be required based on organizational needs. The role involves extended periods of sitting, regular computer use, and virtual communication. Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000- $135,000 based on a full-time schedule. Placement within the range is determined by role scope, relevant experience, skills, geographic considerations, and internal equity. Compensation is reviewed and approved in accordance with Community Catalyst's compensation framework and organizational policies.

This position is eligible for Community Catalyst's employee benefits program, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
