Full Job Description
Position Title: Director of Marketing and Communications

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that strengthen member and employee engagement, promote the Club's offerings, and uphold a consistent brand across all platforms. The Director serves as a key partner to Club leadership, translating organizational priorities into clear, polished, and engaging communications while ensuring a consistent voice, tone, and experience across all platforms.

The Director of Communications reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and works to support the various departments and Club leadership as needed.

Strategic Leadership & Brand Management:
  1. Develop and execute a long-term marketing and communications strategy that supports the Club's mission and values.
  2. Ensure brand consistency and high-quality standards across all communication channels and materials.
  3. Act as the primary steward of the Club's brand identity, refining messaging and visual elements to uphold the prestige of the Club.
  4. Conduct market research and leverage insights to optimize communication strategies and enhance member engagement.


Marketing, Communications and Member Engagement:
  1. Develop and execute the Club's marketing and communications across print, digital, email, social media, website, mobile app, and other member-facing platforms.
  2. Write, edit, and produce weekly member communications, newsletters, tournament and event promotions, seasonal campaigns, leadership messaging, and other marketing materials that inform and engage members.
  3. Manage the Club's website and mobile app, ensuring information is accurate, current, engaging, and consistent across public and member-facing areas.
  4. Develop and execute the Club's social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms, creating and curating content that showcases the Club's events, amenities, programs, and member experience.
  5. Develop and maintain an annual communications calendar to ensure consistent, timely, and strategic messaging across departments, programs, events, and key Club initiatives.
  6. Capture and curate photography and videography to support marketing, communications, social media, and promotional efforts.
  7. Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, managing contact lists and ensuring timely, targeted, and effective communication with members and prospects.
  8. Maintain and protect the Club's brand standards across email, website, social media, print materials, digital displays, on-property signage, and other communications.
  9. Support membership and business development initiatives through marketing collateral, prospect communications, campaigns, and storytelling that promote the Club's value, offerings, and member experience.


Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Support:
  1. Serve as a key communication liaison across all departments, assisting with marketing, membership initiatives, and business development.
  2. Support the Board of Governors and various Club committees with communication strategies and materials.
  3. Provide guidance and support in the preparation of major presentations and public-facing materials.
