RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and implement supplier engagement and supply base growth strategies to support company objectives.
- Conduct strategic market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in your assigned commodity group.
- Lead negotiations with key suppliers to secure advantageous terms and ensure compliance with contracts.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier capabilities meet the current and future needs of the business.
- Drive internal communication through collaboration with Firefly stakeholders (Program Management, M&P, Quality, Engineering, Production, and other functional areas).
- Manage supplier risk, including regular assessments and development of category and supplier-specific mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance regarding quality, cost, delivery, and innovation.
- Facilitate regular business reviews with key suppliers to discuss performance metrics, future opportunities, and challenges.
- Support supplier integration into the company's systems and processes.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and R&D teams to ensure product specifications and quality requirements are met.
- Organize and participate in supplier workshops, conferences, and other events to foster supplier relationships and continuous learning.
- Support (TCO) cost savings efforts for assigned commodity group.
- Drive schedule recovery and corrective action in support of program and production goals.
QUALIFICATIONS Required- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong affinity for networking and building lasting relationships with partners / suppliers
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role with a focus on supplier management.
- Deep knowledge and history of procurement in electrical components, ICs, PCBAs, wiring harnesses, etc.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Proven track record of managing suppliers and improving supplier performance.
- Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
- MS Office (including Excel, Word & Outlook)
Desired- Odoo ERP/MRP knowledge.
- ITAR experience.
- Aerospace Industry experience as an OEM, Supplier, Contractor, or Sub-contractor.
- Experience in an R&D focused environment, Prototyping and test environment a plus.
