Commercial Litigation Associate AttorneyQueens Village, New YorkA well-established and highly regarded boutique law firm in Queens Village is seeking a mid- to senior-level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its collaborative and growing practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated litigation work, meaningful client interaction, and the ability to handle cases with a high degree of autonomy in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a diverse caseload of approximately 40 active matters at varying stages of litigation
- Handle matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and dispositive motions
- Conduct depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Work on a variety of complex commercial disputes, including:
- Real estate litigation
- Partnership and shareholder disputes
- Breach of fiduciary duty claims
- Specific performance actions
- Partition actions
- Contract disputes
- Collaborate closely with partners and other attorneys on litigation strategy and case management
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical legal guidance
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of commercial litigation and/or real estate litigation experience
- Strong ability to independently manage cases and move matters forward efficiently
- Experience handling sophisticated business disputes preferred
- Trial experience is a plus, though not required
- Portable business is highly valued and will be compensated accordingly
- Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range of approximately $175,000-$200,000, depending on experience
