Full Job Description
The Global Technology Sourcing Team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain. The Commercial Sourcing Manager, CPU will act as the primary commercial contact for interfacing with suppliers, Hardware Engineering, Operations, and Planning. Sourcing activities will include, but not be limited to, identification of CPU Merchant & Custom Silicon availability and options with tradeoffs, developing and leading negotiation and sourcing strategies, partnering with Meta Hardware Engineering teams to develop a business and technology roadmap in support of Meta's Platform goals and objectives and driving strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis. Working closely with the Hardware Engineering Teams, the Sourcing Manager will lead the commercial engagements for prototype sourcing and development in support of new product development and introduction. The Sourcing Manager will also be responsible for the deployment of selected solutions and technologies, and supplier management. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for contracts, negotiations, development models, and the development of global commodity and supply chain strategies to enable Meta to meet time-to-development/time-to-production goals, while managing the total landed cost.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage and refresh sourcing strategies and roadmaps for advanced technology and deployment plans
• Provide commodity and/or supplier experience and consulting to design engineering for technology migration and lower TCO
• Support product transfer from advanced investments to mass-production
• Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met
• Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for the CPU silicon & SOC technologies and perform competitive analysis on relevant products
• Maintain current knowledge of the sub tier supply chain around cost, risks, and capacity/supply
• Develop and maintain relationships with executive management at core silicon suppliers. Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met
• Drive supplier proposals, RFP and business awards. Resolve all commercial queries arising from the quote/bid process
• Own commercial and operational supply chain expertise in supplier negotiations and provide review and input for product development and master supply agreements

Minimum Qualifications
• 8+ years of business or supply chain experience in the semiconductors, data center, hyperscalers, cloud service providers, compute, or AI system hardware supply chain, business management
• BSEE or degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high tech environment
• Experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results
• Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in an often ambiguous, entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment
• Background in cost modeling for supply chain and design for value trade-offs
• Experience partnering with Executive leaders in Merchant Silicon suppliers/partners
• Experience in supplier negotiations and provide review and input for product development and master supply agreements

Preferred Qualifications
• Leadership and management experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement organizations
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• MSEE or MBA
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
