A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

The day in the life of a commercial sales individual can be very dynamic. One day you might be taking part in a contract negotiation with a customer, and the next day you could be preparing a presentation for executive management for the same bid. On another day you might be meeting with a project manager to review milestones in a payment schedule or engaging in discussions regarding financial securities or currency hedging. Each day brings its own set of opportunities, and it is up to you to drive Siemens Energy bids to a successful conclusion.

How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
  • Drive, coordinate and prepare all relevant commercial activities within sales and proposal process in cooperation with technical sales, proposals, legal, and PM
  • Timely preparation of commercial part of bid in accordance with the applicable guidelines and in coordination with the relevant departments (e.g. Legal, TCF, Insurance, Taxes, etc.)
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial areas of a contract including but not limited to cash flow, currency / hedging risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, etc.
  • Participate in customer negotiations.
What You Bring (requirements)
  • BA/BS/Master's Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Fluent in English (professional capacity)
  • 8+ Experience in a global corporation, experience in the Gas Services product portfolio.
  • Customer-facing experience and familiarity with contracts
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
