UCF Athletics - Management

Summary:

As a member of the executive management team, assists in providing the management, administrative direction, coordination, and control of activities of the overall Intercollegiate Athletics program, and in establishing, implementing, and interpreting the policies and procedures of the UCF Athletics Association Inc. (UCF Athletics). Participates in development and implementation of goals and objectives of the Association.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversees the management of the Corporate Partnerships unit within Athletics, providing integral direction and leadership towards the achievement of revenue goals / initiatives, with accountability for the progressive strategies, related policies and procedures, and goals / objectives. Serves to strategically integrate Athletics with University and community partners, serves as an authorized signatory on the corporate partnership expenditures, and manages issues relative to revenue generation.
  • Oversees the Ticket Sales and Operations units within Athletics, providing integral direction and leadership toward achieving revenue goals / initiatives, with accountability for the progressive strategies, related policies and procedures, and goals / objectives. Includes participation in the development, management, and establishment of best practices related to areas of operation, as well as service as an authorized signatory on unit's expenditures and management of issues relative to revenue generation.
  • Ensures the collaboration from the areas of oversight with both Athletics and University groups towards the expansion of support and revenue for Athletics.
  • Monitors and maintains constant awareness of major issues that impact (or that have the potential to impact) Athletics, particularly those that could impact revenues, and aids in the development and communication of responses to various campus and community constituencies.
  • Works closely with the Director of Athletics in the research and creation of progressive revenue generating opportunities for Athletics. Develops and maintains positive relationships within the University and Orlando community towards the support of said initiatives.
  • Participates in development of UCF Athletics' budget and its components; serves as an authorized signatory for assigned program expenditures.
  • Serves as a committee member to the Competitive Success Unit where you are an active participant in the governance oversite and advisory responsibility for Revenue Share for UCFAA.
  • Serves as commercial liaison with the conference office regarding area of operation.
  • Engages in fundraising and revenue generating opportunities.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree and four (4) years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree and six (6) years of appropriate experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Management level experience in commercial sales and customer service.
  • Full-time senior level experience within intercollegiate athletics or higher.
  • Demonstrated experience in the creation and implementation of progressive revenue generating opportunities.
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong research, organizational, computer and presentation skills is also preferred.


Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time and occasional travel.
