Job Description Summary
The Commercial Materials Services (“CMS”) FP&A Leader is the Finance leader of the Commercial Materials Services channel. Partnering closely with the product line finance teams and operations teams, this leader utilizes data and analytics to proactively identify trends and see around corners. Strategic thinking is a must, with key responsibilities including profitability analysis, scenario planning, and operational partnership of material allocation. Additionally, the CMS FP&A Leader is the subject matter expert for spare parts orders and backlog, working directly with Investor Relations and Senior Leadership to define the narrative for one of the most critical external leading indicators asked about by analysts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert for orders and backlog reporting & analysis, including close collaboration with Investor Relations and Senior Leadership to inform external investor talking points and trends
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and insights that inform business strategy and/or help achieve desired business outcomes
  • Partner across product lines to identify best practices, implement standard work, and provide portfolio level insights that can drive increased forecasting accuracy
  • Provide standardized reporting across the Commercial Materials Services channel to facilitate leadership reporting, both internally and externally
  • Responsible for managing the Commercial Materials Services cost forecasting processes including monthly estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and longer-term strategy financials.
  • Monthly reporting on Commercial Material Services financials and KPI tracking inclusive of trend analysis and potential risk/opportunities to quarter forecasts.
  • Partner with Controllership to help ensure complete & accurate financial statements for Commercial Material Services

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 6+ years of finance/FP&A experience in a commercial setting
  • Track record for leading and coordinating deliverables across the business.
  • Prior experience with data and analytics (preferably in a financial context)
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to elevate takeaways to Senior Leadership

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with aviation or manufacturing
  • Prior experience with AI and/or digital tools to enable process automation
  • MBA/CPA/CMA or similar accreditation
