Context & EnvironmentPurposes- For the proper execution of the financial and operation sequence of each deal to maximize the platform net back value for its respective material group.
- For coordinating logistics movements with the OPLOG team to manage inventory levels within the refinery and staging locations in order to supply products for pipeline shipments.
- For overseeing the respective feedstock and components barge movements - including vacuum gas oil, carbon black oil, unfinished fuel oil, light cycle oil, heavy oil product, and atmospheric resid.
ActivitiesActivitiesThe Commercial Manager - Refined Products position is responsible for :
- Negotiates specific deals, manages coverage, and maintains pricing changes when needed with ATMI traders.
- Execute commercial transactions required in compliance with all corporate policies and guidelines.
- Confirms deals in Medissys, convert in SAP and publish confirmations.
- Coordinates daily pipeline logistics for Gasoline or/and Distillates with OPLOG team.
- Oversight and stewardship of Forecast Files and Pipeline Schedules in conjunction with PAR Planning for Gasoline /Distillate shipments and commitments with various outlets.
- Define commercial strategy to accommodate pickup times with Colonial, Explorer and ATMI.
- Coordinate logistics movements to maintain inventory levels within the refinery and at staging locations to supply products for pipeline shipments with OPLOG team.
- Lead commercial discussions with PAR planning.
- Make plans to resolve quality issues/upsets/pipeline delays/RVP transition and coordinate RVP transition plans with PAPS and PAR.
- Share market opportunities and intelligence with the team and contribute to TEPRI market strategy and optimization.
- Assist the Back Office in all matters concerning end of month close for all movements. Validate deals for BO.
- Assist Middle Office in the daily inventory reconciliation process and Controlling in the monthly inventory reconciliation process.
- Manage receivables and supply future commitment information.
- Manage distillate blend stock sales to Special Fluids, via PAR or third-party contracts.
- Provide weekly market updates, deal performance forecast, updated price sets, and provide monthly results explanations.
- Makes sure new sales & purchases potential and opportunities are discussed and developed with ATMI during weekly meetings.
- Seek new business development, opportunities and improvements with affiliates, incl. ATMI, Special Fluids, TGPNA.
- Working capital efforts - specially at quarter end; understand and ownership of the inventory.
- Additional responsibilities based on employee's strengths and as requested by hierarchy, including other products such as naphthas, petcoke, and sulfur.
- Back up the other material group.
- Provide occasional after-hours support, including weekends and holidays, to address urgent business or operational needs as they arise.
Candidate ProfileEducation/Experience:- Bachelor's or equivalent level
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or economics or technical degree
- related to oil industry; in depth analytical skills; Microsoft Office, SAP, Transport4, Medissys
- Good verbal and written communication skills; good organizational ability; able to work successfully under pressure and with time constraints; skilled cross-functional team player
- Language skills required for the position : English
- Working knowledge of import and export regulations & incoterms necessary;
- Understanding of the main refining process
- 7+ years of relevant experience to include Oil Industry Commercial, Logistics and Scheduling
