Full Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Team Leader to lead and develop a high-performing service team while managing key client relationships and helping drive the agency's continued growth. This is an opportunity for a strong commercial insurance professional who enjoys mentoring others, solving complex client challenges, and influencing business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Develop Your Team
  • Coach, mentor, and support Commercial Lines Account Managers and service team members.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development.
  • Provide technical guidance on coverage, carrier requirements, and account management best practices.
  • Partner with agency leadership to drive operational excellence and exceptional client service.

Build and Strengthen Client Relationships
  • Manage a select book of commercial insurance accounts.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor for key and complex clients.
  • Conduct annual reviews, stewardship meetings, and risk assessments.
  • Develop customized insurance and risk management solutions.
  • Support client retention through proactive service and trusted consultation.

Drive Growth
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and account rounding.
  • Collaborate with producers on new business opportunities.
  • Participate in presentations, prospect meetings, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Support agency growth through networking, community involvement, and industry engagement.

Deliver Expertise
  • Guide coverage placement strategies and complex account management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging risks, and market conditions.
  • Support carrier relationships and help develop creative solutions for unique client exposures.

Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of commercial insurance experience with demonstrated expertise in commercial coverages, including General Liability, Property, Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation, Umbrella, and Professional Liability
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience within a commercial insurance environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop others.
  • Strong relationship-building and client service skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with middle-market or large commercial accounts.
  • Demonstrated success driving client retention, organic growth, and operational performance.
  • Experience working with carrier partners and underwriting teams.
  • Knowledge of service standards, workflows, and performance metrics.
