ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meets regional Operational standards as outlined by HUB Florida and Hub Corporate
- Manages surety support employees and functions within the department
- Champions communication of goals, vision, and procedures developed by the leadership teams
- Works with Operational Team Leaders, Accounting, Human Resources, and others to manage employees and implement regional projects and directives
- Actively participates in the hiring process and new hire onboarding process
- Provides recommendations for hiring
- Trains employees on duties, expectations, standards, policies and audits and reviews these areas regularly as set by standards; identifies/coordinates additional employee training and development as needed
- Immediately and effectively addresses and resolves employee performance concerns utilizing Regional Human Resources and Operations resources as necessary
- Directs employee workflow, workload and overall performance in accordance with Regional standards
- Provides feedback to management and employees about service structure to improve performance and productivity
- Coordinates time off within department to ensure service level and appropriate reporting of time off
- Assures service standards are being met utilizing the audit and review process
- Assures client service standards are being met
- Creates and recommends new standards and any specialized processes or standards based on business needs
- Conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports
- May manage the service of a book of business directly and may have direct revenue responsibility
- Answers clients/employees questions in a timely manner
- Answers phone inquiries and addresses problems
- Other duties as assigned
- Prepare and coordinate all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned surety accounts, including applications, billing, policies, invoices, change request, renewals and cancellations
- Prepare invoices, transmittals, renewal certificates and cancellation forms
- Review and process change requests in the agency management system
- Set up and maintain new and renewal client files
- Participate in the renewal preparation process, including generating renewal updates on accounts specified by the Producer
- Review bond forms for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare surety bonds for delivery to clients
- Communicate with company personnel regarding the clients needs and/or issues
- Maintain an accurate suspense system on all items that require a response
- Field phone calls from surety customers regarding questions about their bonds, renewals, changes payments, cancellations etc.
- Input/maintain data on account management system and ancillary systems
- Provide quality customer service to clients, team members, and carriers

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 years of prior surety/insurance work experience OR prior relevant work experience is required
- Florida Property and Casualty license is required
- Professional designations are preferred
- College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Strong understanding and comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Existing knowledge of systems including SurePath, EPIC and Applied Agency Management System is preferred
- Strong customer service, organization and time management skills
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
