Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position:The Commercial Enablement Manager serves as the primary learning partner for assigned commercial product, procedure, and business priorities. This role collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other stakeholders to identify performance needs and develop scalable learning strategies that accelerate readiness, adoption, and commercial performance.
Acting as a trusted advisor, this role shapes learning strategy, launch readiness, capability development, and global training deployment. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and builds strategic alignment across stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Success is measured by deployment speed at global scale, meaningful performance indicators, and stakeholder feedback.
Essential Job Duties:Business Partnership & Strategy
- Serve as the primary adult learning consultant to key business stakeholders for assigned product domains and commercial priorities.
- Conduct performance consulting and needs analysis to identify capability gaps and recommend learning and non-learning interventions.
- Translate business objectives into measurable learning outcomes, capability plans, and performance strategies.
- Develop expertise in Intuitive clinical sales process, commercial strategy, and business priorities.
- Influence decisions through data-driven recommendations and strategic guidance.
Commercial Capability Development & Global Enablement Standards
- Develop learning strategies that support product launches, procedural adoption, onboarding and commercial capability development.
- Lead cross-functional planning with stakeholders to align deliverables, timelines, success measures, and field expectations.
- Develop playbooks, toolkits, templates, and train-the-trainer programs that support consistent global execution and efficiency.
- Design scalable global learning programs, frameworks, and operating models that balance standardization with regional flexibility and efficiency.
- Partner with regional training teams to adapt programs locally while maintaining core standards and learner quality.
- Conduct field engagement activities to maintain deep understanding of customer needs, sales practices, and product utilization.
Launch Readiness & Portfolio Strategy
- Own readiness strategies and learning plans for assigned products, procedures, and business initiatives.
- Serve as subject matter expert for Intuitive products and conduct sign-offs for trainers.
- Partner with stakeholders to define launch success criteria, learning objectives, business KPIs, and field expectations.
- Drive alignment across launch workstreams to ensure training deliverables support broader business goals.
- Develop and refine launch readiness frameworks, processes and tools that support scalable global execution.
- Anticipate risks, dependencies, and resource needs to ensure successful execution.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and monitor success measures and evaluation plans for learning effectiveness, adoption, and other business impact
- Analyze learner, training, and business performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Present recommendations and insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovative learning approaches, technologies, and enablement practices.
QualificationsRequired skills and experience:- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in commercial enablement, sales training, sales, marketing, product management, learning and development, or a related field. Direct learning and development experience preferred but not required.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and driving outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong consultative, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to assess business needs, identify performance gaps, and translate complex information into effective learning solutions.
- Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience defining learning objectives, success metrics, and evaluation strategies.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and performance consulting methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent execution skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in medical device, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
- Experience in a learning and development, commercial enablement, product launches, or large-scale change initiatives.
- Experience working across global teams and regional implementation models.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies, commercial capability development, and learning measurement.
- Experience facilitating strategic discussions with senior leaders.
