COMMERCIAL DRY WALL PROJECT MANAGER NASHVILLE, TNABOUT THE ROLEThe Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing the successful completion of client projects and overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Act as company liaison to the owner, representatives or advisers and serves as first point of contact for addressing project-related questions, clarifying and resolving project design issues, changes in scope of work, quality concerns or project delays. Reports progress to customers and serves as intermediary between customer and General Contractor.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Build productive relationships within the team and community to minimize project obstacles or issues; proactively communicates project requirements and/or changes and works to resolve any conflicts.
- Participate in pre-bid and progress meetings, providing input as needed and communicating outcomes to Estimators or management.
- Provide insight on all job-related financial matters to support a consistent revenue stream.
- Fully understands project plans, specifications, and requirements, and assists Superintendents in project planning, determining schedules and operational phases. Shares information and seeks to troubleshoot any issue in advance of effect on the project. Escalates situations creating potential delays, unexpected expenses, or risk assessment issues to management.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop innovative solutions, impart insights, drive development of future opportunities, and foster creativity in order to support Valley's mission and future success.
- Work closely with manufacturers in the development of new products, enhancement of existing ones, providing feedback, and resolving quality or delivery issues.
- Develop strong personal and professional relationships with potential and current customers and contractors to establish long-term, ongoing relationships.
- Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
WHO YOU ARE- Experience/Education: BA in Construction Management, Engineering or related field with 5-10 years of experience and/or background in commercial construction and project management; Drywall experience preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and risk management. Proficient in Microsoft Office and PM software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Driver's License- ability to travel to job sites and other Valley locations when needed
