The location for this position virtual/remote (within the U.S.)

This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions! As a Commercial Director for the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, you're not just leading Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Business Development strategies. Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop a commercial strategy across all market segments and distribution channels to maximize the hotel's revenue, profitability, and market share.

What you'll do during a typical day:
  • Manage commercial strategy. Develop and implement integrated commercial strategies across all revenue streams, including Group, Conference, and Events (GCE), Rooms, Food and Beverage, Leisure, and Spa
  • Lead pricing and forecasting strategy: Oversee revenue management practices, including pricing, rate strategies, demand forecasting, and business reviews, to improve revenue across all segments
  • Align sales and marketing efforts: Coordinate on-property and regional sales, marketing, eCommerce, and public relations activities to support brand positioning and guide demand
  • Cultivate a high-performing team: Promote engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
  • Lead the hotel's commercial strategy: Oversee Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations, and Business Development responsibilities to lead overall commercial performance
  • Increase revenue and market share: Develop commercial strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and competitive positioning across all segments
  • Analyze market opportunities: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer insights, and demand patterns to identify opportunities for growth and business expansion
  • Oversee commercial performance: Review commercial Indicators, forecasts, budgets, and business plans to ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets
  • Represent the Resort, Brand and Company: Act as an important ambassador for the Resort within the market, strengthening brand presence and identifying new business opportunities

How you'll collaborate with others:
  • Maximize revenue and profitability: Partner with General Manager and Finance to ensure commercial decisions support revenue goals, improve cost of sales, and deliver profit and margin targets
  • Strengthen partner relationships: Build trusted relationships with owners, operators, Hilton corporate teams, and external partners to align goals and create long-term commercial value
  • Develop and inspire teams: Coach, mentor, and support Sales, Marketing, Revenue, and Reservations teams while promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

Projectsyou'll take ownership of:
  • Portfolio-level revenue strategies in consideration of Hilton SOPs and RMCC governance
  • High-quality analysis supporting pricing, inventory, displacement, and overbooking decisions
  • Accurate forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting using Hilton systems
What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years of hotel/resort sales and marketing leadership experience
  • Three (3) years of experience leading Revenue Management
  • Experience managing independent and luxury resorts
  • Travel up to 30% of the time nationally and internationally

It would be useful if you have:
  • Local market knowledge
  • Experience collaborating with other hotel/resort employees, managers and directors to ensure teamwork; also work with any "partners" (i.e. Public Relations Firm) as an extension of resort/hotel team
  • General knowledge of contract laws
  • Delphi and others digital sales tools
  • Experience presenting strategic plans to senior executives and partner groups
  • Experience collaborating within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Exposure to Marketing, E-Commerce, and Finance responsibilities

Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package to support their mental and physical well-being, so they can Thrive personally and professionally. The pay range for this role is $190,000 - $255,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
