Commercial Construction Project Executive - Mission Critical

Job Description:

The Project Executive provides overall leadership and direction for advanced manufacturing construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and closeout. This individual is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with HITT's quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, or other technically complex advanced manufacturing projects. The Project Executive serves as the primary executive-level liaison among clients, design partners, trade partners, and internal project teams while supporting business development and long-term client relationships throughout the Northern California market.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain adherence to HITT's safety and quality standards across all assigned projects
  • Provide executive oversight for semiconductor, cleanroom, and advanced manufacturing construction projects
  • Lead projects from preconstruction and estimating through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout
  • Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, change management, and profitability
  • Review project schedules, logistics plans, procurement strategies, and major construction milestones
  • Manage complex MEP systems and coordinate process utilities, controls, life-safety systems, and specialized production equipment
  • Oversee clean-build protocols, contamination-control requirements, system turnover, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Coordinate shutdowns, utility tie-ins, phased construction, and work within active manufacturing environments
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners
  • Lead contract negotiations and resolve significant scope, schedule, cost, and contractual matters
  • Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop proposals, budgets, schedules, and project-execution strategies
  • Conduct executive project reviews and ensure project teams provide accurate and timely reporting
  • Provide leadership to Project Managers, Superintendents, MEP professionals, safety personnel, and other operations team members
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop project teams while supporting succession planning and professional growth
  • Identify new business opportunities, participate in project pursuits, and expand HITT's advanced manufacturing presence in Northern California
  • Ensure an efficient project closeout and turnover process that meets client and operational requirements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Additional relevant construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a general contractor
  • Previous experience in a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, or comparable leadership position
  • Demonstrated experience delivering semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, or advanced manufacturing projects is required
  • Strong knowledge of technically complex MEP systems, process utilities, equipment coordination, commissioning, and facility turnover
  • Experience performing construction within active manufacturing or mission-critical environments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects or a large, complex construction program
  • Strong preconstruction, estimating, contract negotiation, scheduling, financial-management, and risk-management experience
  • Established industry relationships and the ability to support business development within the Bay Area market preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, JD Edwards, and related project-management systems
  • Mastery of reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation
  • Ability to organize people, resources, and schedules to meet demanding project requirements and deadlines
  • Knowledge of current market conditions, construction pricing, labor availability, and procurement trends

In accordance with California's Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is:
$163,350.00 - $217,800.00

Compensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types. The determination of salary is based on the candidate's individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
