POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for coordinating, reviewing, revising, implementing, and maintaining pricing and contractual agreements within certain divisions and will engage with internal and external partners to fulfill agreements and ensure they comply with company policies, procedures, strategies, and compliance obligations.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Reviews, and coordinates commercial contracts, RFPs, or other related documents for execution by appropriate company leader and in coordination with the Company's legal team. Resolves contract issues by reviewing and interpreting contract terms and originating contract documentation. Creates approved templates for submission to clients. Verifies intent of proposed contract and ensures contract initiatives are fulfilled in accordance with internal and external expectations.

2. Assesses the financial impact of potential and ongoing contracts by building models and performing analysis to measure sound financial returns and other impact metrics. Reviews proposed changes and forecasts risk and effectively communicates financial impact to key stakeholders in order to guide data-based decision making and offer options.

3. Facilitates and collaborates with appropriate departments and teams to develop a strategy to implement initiatives agreed to, including setting up metrics to evaluate performance. Ensures executed contracts are tracked and stored in accordance with company policies. Conducts periodic audits in conjunction with other relevant departments to ensure services being provided to clients are in alignment with contracts in place (IOPs, logistics services, etc.).

4. Coordinates the renewal process with applicable departments to extend, expand and renew expiring agreements across the Customer Organization. Includes Government-related agreements, billing arrangements, pricing, RFP awards, innovation contracts, and payer contracting.

5. Collaborates with the appropriate subject matter experts to ensure compliance with current laws, regulations, and internal standards and is the point of contact for ongoing questions and serve as the department representative for any special projects and initiatives involving commercial and innovation contract administration.

6. Evaluates and processes pricing requests from internal stakeholders. The evaluation must include a holistic view the revised pricing will have on the business including the returns for the Company. This position will establish a rigorous pricing process with the intent of streamlining the process and establishing return thresholds. This function will be done in coordination with other departments to ensure timely implementation and sound returns of new and revised pricing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of experience in business/systems analysis work.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working knowledge of business and contract law relating to healthcare or clinical laboratory issues.
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
