Full Job Description
We9re looking for a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager/Market President to drive growth by developing both lending and deposit relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to our customers, and helping achieve the Bank9s strategic goals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cultivating new business, managing an established portfolio, and building lasting partnerships that contribute to both customer success and Bank profitability. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sugar Land TX.

What You9ll Do

Grow Commercial Relationships
  • Develop new business opportunities with prospective customers while deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Build and maintain a balanced portfolio of commercial loans, operating accounts, treasury management services, and deposit products.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor by identifying customer needs and delivering tailored banking solutions.
  • Consistently provide knowledgeable, responsive, and exceptional customer service.

Drive Lending & Deposit Growth
  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies that support Bank growth objectives.
  • Establish goals for commercial loan production, deposit growth, fee income, and profitability.
  • Generate and expand low-cost deposit relationships, including business checking, savings, money market, and treasury management services.
  • Support the Bank9s financial goals through growth in both depository balances and quality loan volume.

Manage a High-Quality Portfolio
  • Analyze the financial condition of prospective and existing customers.
  • Evaluate loan opportunities and determine the feasibility of credit requests.
  • Structure and present loan recommendations to appropriate personnel and/or the Director Loan Committee.
  • Maintain strong portfolio quality by proactively managing past due relationships, overdrafts, policy exceptions, and documentation exceptions.
  • Monitor customer relationships to identify opportunities for expanded lending and deposit services.

Lead Performance & Accountability
  • Monitor achievement of established budgets and business objectives.
  • Be accountable for performance related to portfolio growth, deposit acquisition, profitability, and credit quality.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coach team members to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
  • Recommend and implement strategies that improve team performance and customer outcomes.

Collaborate for Success
  • Partner closely with colleagues across lending, treasury management, retail banking, and operations to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in department marketing and pipeline meetings to discuss current relationships, loan opportunities, deposit growth initiatives, and prospects.
  • Ensure customers receive professional, efficient, and integrated banking solutions.

Represent the Bank in the Community
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Bank by actively participating in community organizations, networking events, and local business functions.
  • Build visibility and strengthen the Bank9s presence in the markets we serve.
  • Educate current and prospective customers on the full range of the Bank9s lending, deposit, and treasury management offerings.
