Job Description

The Center of Excellence in Social Services is a multi-program grant that works with the Bureau of Social Services in WV. This grant includes:
• Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM Team)
• Wraparound Fidelity Team
• WV Intensive Clinical Care Coordination Team
• Family Engagement Team
• Trauma Sensitive Workplace Team
• Evaluation Team

The COESS Director reports to Sr. Associate Director and the Vice President for the Center of Excellence for Recovery. The director will make decisions related to the COESS project development and implementations, budgets, policies and staffing for projects that are part of the project. The Director will work closely with BSS staff including Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners and Project Managers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide day-to-day oversight of projects and programs with leadership, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the Director of Grant Operations, Communications Coordinator, Grant Coordinator, and relevant MURC departments.
• Cultivate relationships with funders; community, state, and federal partners; and internal teams.
• Work closely with COER and staff to improve processes.
• Preparing grant annually and working with pre and post award staff at MURC
• Preparing new proposals with project directors based on state's needs
• Preparing and tracking annual budget
• Review and approve reports and data
• Assisting and providing support to directors/coordinators with identified projects
• Maintaining organizational effectiveness
• Hiring and training employees
• And other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have worked with or for the Bureau for Social Services (BSS)
• Must have management experience
• M.A. or M.S. degree in Human Service preferred in counseling, psychology, or social work.

• Licensed in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work preferred but not mandatory.
• CANS certifications preferred but not mandatory.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Management of Budgets
• Ability to review data and analyze reports
• Ability to manage a large number of employees
• Ability to create new proposals that relate to state needs,
• Skills in using virtual platforms, such as ZOOM or Teams.
• Strong Organizational Skills.
• Ability to train and present data virtually and in person.
• Ability to work with community partners.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Tammy Pearson, Sr. Associate Director for the Center of Excellence for Recovery and Amy Saunders, Managing Director for the Center of Excellence for Recovery and Associate Vice President MURC

Salary Range
$85,000 - salary is commensurate with education an experience
