Job DescriptionThe Revenue Integrity Coding Educator serves as a subject matter expert who advances accurate, compliant, and optimized coding across assigned specialties by auditing medical record documentation and coded services; translating current CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, payer, and regulatory requirements into practical education; and providing timely coaching to providers, coders, and operational teams. This role develops and delivers training materials, identifies documentation, charge-capture, denial, and workflow trends, partners with clinical and Revenue Cycle leaders to implement corrective actions, and monitors outcomes to strengthen coding quality, reimbursement accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provider confidence.
This position is fully remote work.
Required qualifications:- Upon hire: National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders. Or
- Upon hire: National Certified Coding Associate - American Health Information Management Association. Or
- Upon hire: National Certified Coding Specialist - American Health Information Management Association. Or
- upon hire: National Certified Coding Specialist - Physician - American Health Information Management Association. Or
- Upon hire: National Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner - American Health Information Management Association. Or
- Upon hire: National Certified Health Data Analyst - American Health Information Management Association. Or
- Upon hire: National Registered Health Information Administrator - American Health Information Management Association. Or
- Upon hire: National Registered Health Information Technician - American Health Information Management Association.
- 5 years Experience in medical insurance reimbursement, medical billing, and coding related to charge review and work RVU's.
- Experienced in reviewing patient account information, insurance explanation of benefits, computer screens, and financial records.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
