Candidates hired into this position may have the ability to work remotely.DESCRIPTIONUnder general supervision, the coder performs in-depth complex daily CPT, HCPC and ICD10 coding of inpatient, outpatient and clinical charge documents received from physicians for Anesthesiology , Pain Management and Critical Care procedures.
The coder is responsible to accurately interpret notes/diagnoses and to convert them into CPT/HCPC/ICD10 codes as appropriate in order to fully capture all billable services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
- Must have three (3) years of coding experience (Anesthesia coding).
- Strong skills in CPT, ICD-10-CM, & HCPCS professional coding applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Anesthesia, Pain Management and Critical Care Coding experience.
- Toxicology / Wound Care experience.
- CANPC certification.
- Experience with Epic.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $78,175 - $103,105 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $37.44 - $49.38
