Responsibilities

  • Conduct coating and corrosion assessments using PK's Intellispec software
  • Perform quality assurance inspections during the blasting and coating process
  • Document and report inspection findings to the facility Corrosion Engineer via Intellispec
  • Assist the corrosion engineer in job scope development and planning
  • Provide technical support regarding coatings and fireproofing as needed

Coatings Inspector - NACE Level 2 / AMPP Certified

Location: Geismar, LA
Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term nested position (40-50 hrs/week)
Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr (Depending on Experience)
Per Diem/Mileage: Not Available

Position Overview

We are seeking a Coatings Inspector with a minimum NACE Level 2 or AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector certification for a long-term, full-time nested role. The ideal candidate will have a background in coatings and corrosion assessments, with additional fireproofing and rope access experience preferred. Qualifications
  • Required:
    • NACE Level 2 or AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector
    • Valid TWIC Card
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Ability to pass DOE/DOT DA testing (hair follicle drug screen)
  • Preferred:
    • Fireproofing experience
    • Rope Access Level 1 certification

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct coating and/or corrosion assessments of tanks, equipment, piping, and structural components using PK's Intellispec software
  • Perform quality assurance inspections at designated hold points during the blasting and coating process
  • Document and report inspection findings to the facility Corrosion Engineer via Intellispec
  • Assist facility corrosion engineer in future job scope development, verification and planning
  • Provide technical support related to coating and fireproofing as needed
