THE WORK
The CNC Programmer will support the Owego production manufacturing facility by creating, testing, and maintaining CNC programs that produce high-quality machined parts for critical defense applications.
In this role you will:
• Develop and optimize CNC programs for a variety of machining centers, translating engineering drawings and specifications into efficient, repeatable code.
• Verify program accuracy through simulation, test runs, and on-machine validation, ensuring parts meet strict tolerance and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and production teams to resolve design issues, improve manufacturability, and reduce cycle time.
• Maintain and update tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters to support continuous production flow.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot errors, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Document process changes, program revisions, and work instructions in accordance with Lockheed Martin quality standards.
• Support the training of shop floor personnel on new programs and machining best practices.

You are a detail-oriented CNC programmer with strong knowledge of machining processes and a proven ability to translate technical drawings into efficient, high-quality CNC code that supports mission-critical production.

Basic Qualifications
• 5 + years of CNC milling programming experience (horizontal, vertical, and 5 axis)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve CNC process issues
• Skilled at reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3-D models
• Comprehensive experience applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure compliance
• Advanced shop-floor mathematics proficiency, routinely performing trigonometric and algebraic calculations for tool path optimization
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $89,300 - $154,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
